Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a talented Program Finance Analyst to support the Platform and Commercial Solutions Division. Leidos Defense Systems Sector provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide.  Our Kinetic Effects Business Area positions Leidos as a leader in the manufacturing and delivery of innovative mission-critical solutions across commercial space, advanced hypersonic weapons systems, precision munitions, and weapon system testing. This high-paced, fast-growing organization provides significant opportunities to solve highly complex problems and significantly influences the division’s results.

As a core member of the team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing programs across the Defense Manufacturing and Platform Development Modernization portfolios. You will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute to and lead team environments, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers. You must also be self-motivated and highly organized with a focus on managing customer expectations with a constant goal of generating high quality products that exceed stakeholder expectations.

You will work directly with the Program Portfolio Director, Division Finance and Business Operation Senior Manager and other functional IPTs to define the program’s financial goals and drive closure of those

objectives.  This position will be responsible for managing the overall execution of a portfolio of programs baselines and provide recommendations to achieve flawless program execution.  Additionally, this position will support various proposal efforts across the portfolio, providing financial insights into proposal teams, developing cash flow analysis and supporting business case and profitability analysis to drive the long-term growth of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Responsible for planning and overseeing diverse activities within a program finance organization, leading a team of experienced professionals
  • Provides vision and strategic insights for the organization and makes policy and process recommendations to drive the commercial space business
  • Develop deep understanding of customer missions and requirements to provide complex and tailored feedback.  Leads the line of business in developing new products and processes to handle the complex needs of our customers
  • Communicate with internal and external parties and influence others outside of finance team on policies, practices and procedures.
  • Pre-emptively identify programmatic risk and work directly with Program Manager and financial analysts to develop mitigation plans; recommend and implement cost reduction measures
  • Provide hands-on support and strategy development for on-contract growth and new business proposals and help develop winning bids.  Provide insights and roadmap for successful financial execution
  • Develop and then drive execution the commercial space portion of the program’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly financial forecasts and EACs; Support month-end closing process and perform variance/trend analyses
  • Align initiatives to Division and Business Area goals with other functional and line leaders to further the financial and business objectives of the organization
  • Drive cash management processes across the division to include tracking milestone completion dates, collections, and inventory optimization.
  • Driving successful Indirect budget management’s in support of multiple emerging program’s within the Kinetic Effects Business Area

Basic Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline plus 2-4 years related experience. 
  • Knowledge of multiple contract types (FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts), terms and conditions and billing/reporting requirements  
  • Analytical, communication and presentations skills needed as well as being able to operate independently.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
