The company is actively writing HO3 business in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and South Carolina. The Product Analyst provides analytical support for all aspects of program development, rating, and underwriting for personal property insurance. Reporting to the Product Manager, this role will play an active part in crafting and executing the strategies needed for us to meet our growth and profitability goals by analyzing and modeling large sets of data, proposing creative solutions, performing competitor and market research, and assisting in regulatory support.
Primary Accountabilities
- Conducts competitive market analysis from multiple sources including distribution channels, customers, vendors, insurance departments and regulatory filings.
- Recommends strategies and solutions for improving results and market position by aggregating multiple data sources and performing statistical analysis to support business goals.
- Responsible for obtaining, evaluating and communicating information that supports revenue growth and profitability.
- Creates and modifies processes and reports to analyze information and aggregate data with a focus on automation and efficiency for repeatability.
- Measures and monitors the performance of states, initiatives, and identified segments.
- Provides detailed requirements and expertise for system implementation projects including problem identification, solution execution, and testing support.
- Prepares technical exhibits for state filings and responds to requests from state insurance regulators to promote the program’s growth and compliance.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Solid knowledge and understanding of personal Property and Casualty product life cycles, program management rating strategies, and industry trends.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience performing business analysis, developing processes, reporting automation, and designing creative solutions to complex business problems.
- Knowledge of common industry vendor data products and their importance in rating and underwriting.
- Proven skills in data manipulation tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, and/or R.
- MGA, start-up or Insurtech experience is a bonus.
