Sr Process Systems Engineer (Spatial Analytics & AI )

What's the role?

Sr Process Systems Engineer is a technically skilled professional who is a process and procedure specialist that provides in-depth and cross-functional guidance to global content operations on tools, processes, specifications and database integrity. This role requires individual to anticipates and mitigates quality risks impacting database integrity, understanding of evolving business processes & new demands, to lead pilots, launches and scale deployments to Data Operation and to create efficient end to end process/solution design for customer/data operations which caters to internal and external customers. This role is responsible for maintaining operational collaboration with different departments/teams withing the organization, functionally managing the project teams & mentoring them on technical aspects and collaborates across teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sr. Process Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing processes, tools, and technical solutions that support global content operations. You will provide technical leadership, guide cross-functional initiatives, and help ensure the integrity, quality, and scalability of operational systems and databases.You will have the opportunity to:

• Lead a team of Process Systems Engineers and provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support across strategic initiatives.

• Partner with stakeholders, operations teams, and engineering teams to plan, execute, and track projects, deployments, and process improvements.

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work, simplify complex processes, and improve the effectiveness of existing tools and workflows.

• Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive and corrective actions to improve operational quality and database integrity.

• Support software development initiatives by designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions using technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, GIS, and mapping platforms.

• Lead product launches, pilot programs, technology deployments, and process scale-up activities while ensuring compliance, risk assessment, testing, and operational readiness.

• Design end-to-end operational solutions, perform spatial analytics, generate business insights, and deliver customized solutions for internal and external stakeholders.

• Support innovation, research, and technology initiatives that align with HERE’s strategic priorities and future business requirements.

• Act as a trusted technical expert, supporting issue resolution, incident management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous process improvement.

• Lead business-critical programs, projects, and strategic initiatives requiring technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

Who are you?

You are a technically skilled leader who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, building scalable solutions, and collaborating across teams to deliver business impact. You combine strong engineering fundamentals with process excellence and a passion for continuous improvement.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

• Significant experience working with HERE proprietary mapping tools or comparable geospatial and mapping technologies.

• Experience leading technical teams and supporting people development within software development, systems engineering, or related technical domains.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including backend systems, microservices, data structures, algorithms, and solution design.

• Experience working with GIS technologies, geospatial concepts, and platforms such as ESRI or similar mapping solutions.

• Proficiency in programming, scripting, and database technologies, including Python, SQL, NoSQL databases, GeoJSON, and related analytical tools.

• Experience performing data analysis and creating insights using visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of cloud-based technologies, AI/ML concepts, and modern software architectures.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with a strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices.

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, user acceptance testing, technical documentation, and requirements management.

• A proactive approach to working in dynamic, cross-functional environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous learning capabilities.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
