The Role
Reporting to the Technology Team, the Business Systems Analyst Co-op will support Gorilla Commerce’s technology and business systems initiatives by helping gather requirements, document processes, analyze data, test system enhancements, and support cross-functional projects. This role is designed for a motivated student who is eager to gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems, business process improvement, integrations, reporting, and technology operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with gathering, documenting, and organizing business requirements for technology projects and system enhancements.
- Support process mapping, workflow documentation, and analysis of current business systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with team members and stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify scope, and track open questions, risks, and next steps.
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and validating changes across business applications and integrations.
- Gain exposure to applications used across the business, including NetSuite ERP, integrations, Amazon Seller Central, business intelligence tools, and other internal platforms.
- Help prepare project documentation, user guides, testing notes, status updates, and training materials.
- Support data analysis, reporting validation, and issue triage by reviewing system outputs, identifying discrepancies, and documenting findings.
- Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and cross-functional working sessions to learn how technology supports business operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in business systems, technology operations, project management, data analysis, process improvement, or enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable learning new systems and tools; experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, or other reporting tools is a plus.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to ask thoughtful questions, document information clearly, and follow through on assigned work.
- Previous internship, class project, or hands-on experience with systems, databases, analytics, automation, or business process documentation is a plus.
