Job Description

  • During your internship, your primary mission will be to analyze and improve the performance of Python-based verification environments for C++ models.
  • You will develop and apply profiling, as well as benchmarking approaches in order to characterize the execution behavior of different verification scenarios.
  • Furthermore, you will analyze how different DUT characteristics and verification workloads impact simulation runtime, performance, as well as scalability.
  • In addition, you will identify performance bottlenecks, investigate their root causes and evaluate optimization approaches to improve verification efficiency.
  • Finally, you will document and present your findings, contributing to the development of reusable performance analyzis, as well as optimization methodologies for industrial hardware verification.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master studies in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Microsystems Engineering or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: • of Python and profiling, benchmarking, performance analysis or software optimization
  • basic knowledge of C++
  • basic understanding of digital design and simulation concepts
  • familiarity with Linux-based development environments and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • knowledge of SystemC, Verilog/VHDL, cocotb, pyuvm or UVM beneficial
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a hands-on, independent, proactive and organized team player who enjoys taking ownership of challenging tasks, as well as collaborating in an interdisciplinary environment; you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a structured, results-oriented working style with the ability to understand complex technical systems, as well as to communicate technical findings effectively
  • Work Routine: a regular on-site presence is required to facilitate collaboration, technical discussions and debugging activities
  • Enthusiasm: for performance analyzis, software optimization and simulation technologies
  • Languages: very good in English

Duration: 6 months
