The Opportunity

In this role, you will be part of a small team and work as an R&D Engineer within a global organization, focusing on the global product support of high voltage products in feeder factory BG. Your responsibilities are diverse, covering various topics from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, and fault diagnosis. How you’ll make an impact:​

Provide global product support for high voltage products produced in feeder factory BG:

Production Process Support

  • Provide technical support to industrial engineering during introduction of new products into existing lines and the setup of new production lines;
  • Participate in the definition and optimization of production processes in the feeder factory;
  • Know-How transfer from R&D to production staff during implementation of new products and ongoing operations.

Quality and Audit Support

  • Participate in GPS audits of feeder factory BG and provide support to implement required changes resulting from audits;
  • Support root cause analysis led by quality department and implement changes to product data following the defined change management process.

  

Supplier Support

  • Perform R&D related tasks for qualification of new parts or new suppliers (PPAP).

Cost Reduction Activities

  • Engage in Design-to-Value and cost reduction activities, releasing changes to product data as needed.

Your background:

  • Excellent academic degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • Several years of professional experience, preferably in R&D or engineering of high voltage products;
  • Experience with quality tools, such as DFMA, FMEA and problem-solving methods (8D or Lean Six Sigma).;
  • 3D design with Creo, SAP-R3, and documentation creation is advantageous;
  • High technical understanding and interest in business and process workflows;
  • Strong team skills and ability to work independently. Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work under pressure;
  • Fluent in English and Bulgarian, both spoken and written;
  • Willingness for business travel to Sevlievo on weekly basis and for occasional business travel abroad;
  • Class B driving license.
