About the role
Join St John of God Health Care as a Project Manager - Digital and Technology, where you will play a key role in delivering technology initiatives that support our mission and strategic objectives.
Reporting within the Digital and Technology team, you will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, from system enhancements and upgrades through to major technology projects. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards, while adhering to established project management methodologies and governance requirements.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities, stakeholders and deadlines.
You will work alongside a dynamic, motivated and high-performing team that is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes and consistently goes above and beyond to support our caregivers, projects and each other. Based in either our Perth or Melbourne office, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders to deliver meaningful technology solutions that make a difference.
This position is offered on a 6‑month fixed-term, full-time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple technology projects, upgrades and enhancements simultaneously, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed scope, budget, schedule and quality standards while adhering to project management methodologies and governance requirements.
- Manage all aspects of project planning and execution, including discovery activities, project documentation, financial management, resource coordination, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, reporting and vendor management.
- Prioritise and coordinate competing project demands across a diverse portfolio, ensuring effective resource allocation and delivery of strategic outcomes.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes, maintain effective governance, and ensure solutions are appropriately resourced, supported and transitioned into ongoing operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes, managing change effectively and ensuring a smooth transition of solutions into operational support.
- Lead, coach and motivate project teams by providing clear direction, setting expectations, and ensuring team members understand their roles, responsibilities and project objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture through effective communication, constructive feedback and the development of trusted working relationships.
Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Project Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), together with a PRINCE2 or similar project management certification.
You will bring extensive experience delivering IT infrastructure and business systems projects, with a demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining focus on quality outcomes, stakeholder satisfaction and business value.
You will possess exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation. Highly organised and commercially minded, you will thrive in a team-oriented environment, manage competing priorities with ease and consistently deliver results.
