Job Description

As a Fire & Security Apprentice Engineer, you will join a skilled team, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of customer sites while developing the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in the fire and security industry. You will be supported to install and maintain the following systems:

  • Access Control
  • Video Surveillance
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Fire Alarms

Entry Requirements

  • Pass an Enhanced DBS check
  • Maths and English at grade 4/C or above
  • Age 18+ due to site restrictions
  • Full UK Drivers licence is required

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Doncaster centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

  • Build evidence from your job to support your learning
