The Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission is an independent statutory body established under the Greyhound Racing Act 2017. The Commission is responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of greyhounds, safeguarding the integrity of greyhound racing and betting, and maintaining public confidence in the NSW greyhound racing industry.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics & Intelligence Analyst to join the Commission’s Racing Integrity Team. This role delivers data-led intelligence and analytical support to inform investigations, compliance activity and operational decision-making across the Commission.
In this role, you will interrogate and interpret information from multiple sources, identify patterns, trends, risks and associations, and produce clear intelligence products, reports, graphs and trend analyses. You will also support ongoing investigations and compliance operations through the development of intelligence profiles, targeted analytical products and evidence-based insights.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your data analytics, intelligence and reporting skills in a regulatory environment where your work will directly support greyhound welfare, racing integrity and public confidence in the industry.
What you’ll do:
- Collect, collate, analyse and interpret intelligence and data to support investigations, compliance functions and organisational decision-making.
- Develop clear, accurate and evidence-based intelligence reports, assessments, briefs, research papers, graphs and trend analyses.
- Use data analytics and intelligence tools, including Tableau or similar platforms, to identify trends, risks, associations and emerging issues.
- Support operational investigations and compliance activities by preparing intelligence profiles and targeted analytical products.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to support information sharing, intelligence objectives and continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity and security of information in a complex and sensitive regulatory environment.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and analytical professional who can work confidently with complex information, identify meaningful insights and communicate findings clearly to support investigations, compliance and regulatory decision-making. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience working as a data, business or intelligence analyst, preferably in a law enforcement, regulatory, compliance or investigative environment.
- Strong capability in data analysis, intelligence analysis, research and reporting, including the ability to draw insights from multiple information sources.
- The ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate written products for operational, investigative and executive audiences.
- Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism when handling confidential, sensitive or operational information.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Intelligence Analysis, Data Analytics, Criminology or similar) or equivalent experience.
- Satisfactory completion of criminal record and probity checks.
