Senior Product Manager - Digital Investments
Amsterdam | 36–40 hours
Shape the next generation of digital investment propositions for our customers. As Senior Product Manager, you will turn customer and market insights into compelling products, build support for a clear vision and lead complex initiatives from first concept to successful rollout.
The team The Digital Investments Product Management team identifies unmet customer needs and market opportunities and turns them into distinctive, sustainable investment propositions. We are responsible for Self Invest (Brokerage), Easy Invest and Pension Investing in the Netherlands. Together with our colleagues from Marketing, Risk, and IT, we create an excellent digital platform experience while safeguarding customer interests, regulatory requirements and profitability.
You will join a collaborative, ambitious environment in which evidence, clear choices and stakeholder alignment matter. Your work will range from improving today’s customer journeys to defining propositions and capabilities that will shape our investment offering for years to come.
Roles and responsibilities You will lead proposition development and continuous improvement across our digital investment products, translating strategic opportunities into customer value and measurable business results.
- Leading proposition initiatives from opportunity identification and solution definition through development, launch and optimisation.
- Developing a clear product vision, roadmap and value story, and securing commitment from teams and senior stakeholders.
- Turning market, customer and performance insights into evidence-based priorities, requirements and business cases.
- Defining customer journeys and business requirements in close collaboration with customer experience specialists, engineers and other delivery partners.
- Testing the delivered key features of IT teams to ensure they meet the business and customer requirements.
What could it look like specifically?
- Creating a pension plan conversation that helps customers and advisers understand pension needs, including pricing, tooling and rollout strategy.
- Developing a pension payout product from early solution definition and refinement through delivery and market rollout.
- Adding parental controls to our investment products as part of a Child Investing proposition to meet key customer needs.
- Identifying and refining the key platform features needed to make ING the home of the best-in-class Brokerage platform.
- Optimising existing investment features and flows using customer feedback and continuous analysis to reduce friction and improve outcomes.
- Collaborating with other ING countries and the Global Platform team to shape the future vision for investment products and represent the needs of customers in the Netherlands.

To be successful in this role, you bring:
- A proven ability to lead complex, long-term product or proposition programmes involving multiple teams, dependencies and stakeholders.
- Strong proposition development and lifecycle management skills, from customer problem and market opportunity to launch and optimisation.
- Customer experience expertise and the ability to translate research and journey insights into intuitive digital solutions.
- Experience bridging business and technology, including defining clear, actionable requirements with engineering and platform teams.
- Persuasive communication skills: you make the product vision and customer need tangible and create buy-in across a broad stakeholder landscape.
- Strong analytical and commercial judgement, with the ability to support recommendations through customer data, market analysis and robust business cases.
- Solid knowledge of pension investing and/or brokerage is strongly preferred.
