We are looking for a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer- Identity & Security to independently own, administer, secure, and govern our enterprise Microsoft cloud environment. The role focuses on Microsoft 365, identity and access, security, compliance, automation, and governance, with responsibility for maintaining a secure, reliable, and well-managed environment.

This is a senior hands-on technical role, not a desktop or end-user support position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making configuration and security decisions, managing enterprise-scale Microsoft technologies, automating processes, and driving continuous improvements with minimal supervision.

Microsoft 365 | Entra ID | Intune | Defender | Purview | Exchange Online

Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Own the M365 tenant and administer Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, including configuration, governance, and service optimization.
  • Identity & Access: Manage Entra ID, identity lifecycle, authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, privileged access, and access governance.
  • Endpoint Management: Administer Intune for device configuration, compliance, application management, and endpoint security.
  • Security: Manage and maintain Microsoft Defender capabilities and Microsoft security policies; identify and address security risks across the environment.
  • Compliance & Data Protection: Administer Microsoft Purview capabilities, including DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and related compliance controls.
  • Automation: Build and maintain PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation to streamline administration and reduce manual processes.
  • Governance & Optimization: Own M365 governance standards, licensing, configuration baselines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technical Ownership: Independently troubleshoot complex issues, lead technical changes, and work with infrastructure, security, and business teams to implement scalable solutions
  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience along with bachelor’s in computer science, IT, Infrastructure- Networking or equivalent
  • Strong expertise in Entra ID and Identity & Access Management.
  • Deep working knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Strong understanding of Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, privileged access, and identity governance.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview, including DLP, retention, and eDiscovery.
  • Strong PowerShell skills and experience with Microsoft Graph or Microsoft 365 automation.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, licensing, and governance.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of the Microsoft environment.
