POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Sr. Data Analyst at LJA in our Finance department, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights. The role does this through analysis of existing data and identifying new data capture opportunities. With that data understanding, the role builds data models and data visualizations to provide accurate and consistent information for operational and executive decision making. As a senior level role, it will be expected to operate independently, requiring minimal supervision.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Analyzing complex data scenarios, tracing data through systems
- Identifying opportunities to improve data through system and process design
- Developing and implementing data models
- Identifying and addressing data quality issues, analyzing anomalies, and investigating solutions to complex data problems
- Creating visual representations of data utilizing charts, graphs, and dashboards to effectively communicate insights
- Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Providing technical mentoring to team members
- Performing other financial system duties as warranted or directed
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Expertise with accounting data, particularly with financial reporting and project accounting
- Proficiency with Power BI and DAX
- Proficiency with MS SQL
