Full description

Seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with broad infrastructure expertise to help evolve and support our enterprise environment. This role requires a strong technical foundation in networking along with hands‑on experience across storage platforms, Microsoft 365 services, Azure and compute infrastructure. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑based networking is highly desirable as we continue expanding our cloud footprint.

The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and leadership capability; someone who can troubleshoot complex issues, drive stability across critical systems, and guide the growth of our infrastructure. You will be responsible for prioritizing mission‑critical tasks, coordinating upgrades, and ensuring that maintenance activities do not disrupt daily operations.

As we continue expanding our cloud footprint and modernizing our infrastructure, we are accelerating our adoption of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), modern network approaches, and hybrid‑cloud architectures. We’re looking for an individual who is excited to contribute to these initiatives and help drive innovation across the environment. This role provides the opportunity to influence and execute a long‑term technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals and positions our infrastructure for future growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, administer, and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Design, implement, and manage hybrid network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, NSGs, and Azure Firewall.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex network incidents, performing root-cause analysis and driving long-term remediation.
  • Provide senior-level administration and support for Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Support and maintain virtualized infrastructure (VMware and/or Hyper-V), including performance tuning, availability, and capacity planning.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure, with emphasis on networking, virtual machines, identity integration, and security configurations.
  • Support cloud migration and hybrid integration efforts, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational continuity.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, ensuring reliability, security, and overall system health
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT support teams, helping elevate overall operational capability
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline routine tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve system consistency
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives, contributing to long‑term infrastructure strategy
  • Partner closely with Application and Operations teams to ensure smooth, reliable deployment of new products and services across the infrastructure
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Application teams, providing guidance on network, cloud, and infrastructure considerations during solution designs
  • Lead and support infrastructure‑related project management efforts, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and broader corporate strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to shape the long‑term strategy for enterprise WAN, LAN, and hybrid‑cloud connectivity
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning processes, offering insight into network and infrastructure needs, lifecycle management, and future investments
  • Demonstrate commitment to Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of professional experience supporting and engineering WAN/LAN environments; bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hands‑on expertise with virtualization technologies, including Microsoft Hyper‑V, VMware vSphere, and/or Linux‑based virtualization, supporting both server and virtual desktop environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft Azure, particularly in hybrid network and infrastructure scenarios
  • Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, backup and recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Technical proficiency in virtualization software, such as Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, and/or Linux in support of server and VMware virtual desktop environments
  • Strong communication skills and solid business acumen, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated project management capability, with experience leading or contributing to infrastructure initiatives
  • Ability to participate in a 24×7×365 on‑call rotation as part of operational support responsibilities

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications preferred (Cisco, Juniper, CWNA); Azure certifications strongly preferred (AZ-104, AZ-700, or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Entra ID / Active Directory in hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of CITRIX Netscaler and Zscaler VPN
  • Experience deploying and managing Cisco Meraki solutions, including cloud‑managed networking, security, and wireless infrastructure
