What You Will Do:
As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will work with large-scale datasets and distributed data-processing environments to support complex mission requirements. You will use Python, Spark, and data-processing technologies to analyze, transform, and manage data while applying a strong understanding of network and protocol analysis.
This position combines data science and large-scale data processing with network and protocol analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and process large-scale datasets using Python and Spark
- Develop and support scalable data-processing workflows
- Perform data transformation, integration, and processing across multiple data sources
- Apply network and protocol analysis knowledge to complex datasets
- Analyze network and communications data to identify patterns, characteristics, and relationships
- Develop and maintain automated data-processing pipelines
- Support distributed data-processing environments
- Perform data analysis and develop technical solutions supporting mission requirements
- Document analytical methods, processes, and findings
- Collaborate with technical and mission teams to deliver actionable results
Required Skills and Qualifications:• Analyze and process large-scale datasets using Python and Spark
- Develop and support scalable data-processing workflows

Experience with ETL, dataflow, and data-processing workflows is a plus
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
- Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Clearance Requirement: • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
