Full description

About Kasheesh The future of checkout isn't about which card you use. It's about how you use the ones you already have. Kasheesh is reimagining digital payments and modern checkout experiences. Our technology allows you to combine multiple debit, credit or prepaid cards at checkout, anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Kasheesh unlocks access to more of your available funds, helping increase your cash flow, stretch your budget, and avoid hitting card limits. No new lines of credit. No disruption to how or where you shop.

About the Role In this role, you'll define what the API looks like, shape the integration strategy, lead the technical components of the go-to-market strategy, and code when needed. You’ll be the person leading technical discussions with potential partners.

You'll work closely with our Engineering Manager, Data Engineer, CPO and Head of Partnerships: the Engineering Manager on build priorities and architecture, the Data Engineer on integration data flows, the CPO on aligning the API roadmap with broader product strategy, and the Head of Partnerships for the technical components of sales pitches.

The ideal candidate has already been part of a team that built an API partner ecosystem from scratch. You know what good looks like, you know where the landmines are, and are prepared to own the function here.

Kasheesh operates under sponsor bank oversight as a regulated card program. You'll be building within that compliance framework daily. Card network rules, KYC/AML obligations, and data privacy constraints will shape what you can build, what you can promise partners, and how fast you can move. Experience navigating this environment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the sales process by leading technical conversations and developing the materials needed to support the sales process
  • Design and own the architecture of Kasheesh's partner-facing API including what endpoints should look like, expected responses, and the overall developer experience
  • Own the API product roadmap and work with the engineering team to ensure what gets built serves both partners and the business
  • Write detailed technical requirements and translate them into actionable specs for the engineering team
  • Build and own Kasheesh's API integration strategy: how partners connect, how they onboard based on their type and complexity, and how quickly we get them live
  • Create the partner-facing documentation, sandbox environments, and frameworks partners need to integrate successfully
  • Build the internal playbooks and infrastructure for a repeatable, scalable partner program
  • Write code when needed to prototype, validate or unblock integrations

Qualifications

  • Experience owning the technical narrative in a business development or sales process
  • Hands-on experience building or working directly with production APIs
  • Experience writing technical requirements and owning an API product roadmap
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language
  • Direct experience building an API partnership ecosystem or function at a SaaS startup from 0 to 1
  • Experience building in a regulated fintech environment is required. You understand how card network rules, KYC/AML obligations, sponsor bank oversight,

and data privacy constraints shape what can be built, promised, and delivered to partners

  • Comfortable setting honest expectations with partners about what the API can do, what it cannot, and what it would take to get there
  • Ability to get work done in ambiguity and energized by building structure where none exists
