Sr. Python Developer

Our client is seeking a talented experienced Python Software Engineer to help modernize and enhance a suite of enterprise analytics applications used to support complex decision-making, risk analysis, and business-critical workflows.This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-based technology initiatives, transforming legacy desktop platforms into modern, scalable web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences and powerful analytical capabilities.You'll collaborate with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to build innovative solutions leveraging modern web technologies, cloud infrastructure, and advanced analytics.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and deploy modern full-stack applications using Python and contemporary web technologies
• Help modernize legacy desktop software into cloud-native web applications
• Build intuitive user interfaces and highly scalable backend services
• Design and consume RESTful APIs and distributed services
• Integrate data sources, analytics tools, and third-party platforms
• Contribute to application architecture, performance optimization, and software best practices
• Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of professional software development experience with Python
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java is a plus
• Strong experience building modern web applications using:• HTML5
• CSS
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Angular, React, or similar frameworks

• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-based architectures
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Proficiency with Git or other source control systems

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
