Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Insights and Strategy Analyst to join our strategy team. In this role, you will work across a broad mandate spanning regional partnerships, internal strategy initiatives, and corporate development, supporting the team with hands-on analytical and project work.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will translate high-level business objectives into structured analysis, well-reasoned recommendations, and polished deliverables. This role suits someone with a consulting or strategy background who is comfortable operating across ambiguous, multi-workstream environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapid Execution & Iteration: Drive work from initial scoping to a structured draft, building models, developing recommendations, and refining materials through feedback cycles. Respond to ad-hoc requests from senior leadership as needed.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Independently research and synthesise emerging industry trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic opportunities across Viu’s markets.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Support strategic initiatives by engaging internal teams to gather inputs, synthesise findings, and keep workstreams on track. This includes projects spanning content, operations, finance, technology, and HQ alignment.
- Regional Partnerships: Support the development and management of regional commercial partnerships, including deal framing, counterparty research, and internal alignment.
- Corporate Development: Contribute to corporate development workstreams on an as-needed basis, including market mapping, financial analysis, and preparation of investment materials.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, or business operations.
- Individual contributor who can take an ambiguous brief and deliver with minimal direction.
- Experience working across functions and geographies, with exposure to senior stakeholder environments.
- Self-starter who can prioritize across workstreams under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Conversational proficiency in Cantonese is preferred as you would be working with counterparts located in Hong Kong.
