Responsibilities:
- Perform source-to-target data mapping across all banking domains
- Analyze legacy banking systems and define field-level transformation, derivation, and lookup rules for migration to the target platform
- Facilitate workshops with client business SMEs, product owners, and core banking vendors to validate mapping logic and obtain sign-offs
- Ensure mapping coverage for regulatory and compliance fields to maintain reporting continuity
- Drive data profiling, quality assessment, and cleansing strategy to identify gaps, orphan records, and remediation needs
- Prepare mapping design; optionally write SQL transformations and create parametrization for DMT (Data Migration Tool)
- Define reconciliation rules based on business logic to ensure no data loss and correctness of transformation; support RBRO with financial reconciliation
- Define loading and transformation dependencies
- Support cutover planning, dry runs, and go-live execution, ensuring zero financial discrepancies post-migration
- Maintain mapping sheet and produce mapping status reports
Qualifications:
- Understanding of banking products and processes
- Ability to discuss edge cases and exceptions with clients
- Understanding of basic data concepts: primary key, foreign key, reference data, master data, etc..
- SQL knowledge — optional but a strong plus
