Full description

We're hiring a Full-Stack Mobile Engineer to join Lucida AI.

This is a full-time, hybrid role for someone who wants to learn how a consumer AI product is built, shipped, and scaled from the inside. You'll work across the stack — mostly in Flutter, but touching backend and infrastructure wherever the feature needs it — to help improve the experience of millions of language learners around the world.

This is not a passive internship. We're looking for someone who can write clean code, ship fast, debug hard problems, ask good questions, and take ownership of features end to end.

Why join

  • Backed by top-tier investors ($7M raised)
  • Millions of users across global markets
  • Small, high-performing team
  • High ownership, fast decision-making, no bureaucracy
  • Potential full-time opportunity after graduation
  • Opportunity to help build a category-defining AI product

Who you are

  • Highly curious about AI, mobile apps, consumer products, and real-time voice experiences
  • Comfortable building features in Flutter/Dart end to end — UI, state management, and API integration
  • Understand how to work with REST/WebSocket APIs, async flows, and app architecture
  • Care about performance, smooth UX, and shipping polished, bug-free builds
  • Comfortable reading and touching backend code when a feature demands it
  • Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up
  • Don't wait for step-by-step instructions; you look for ways to add value
  • Comfortable working with data, logs, crash reports, and product metrics
  • Communicate clearly in English

Bonus if you have: published apps on the App Store / Play Store, experience with real-time audio, native platform code (iOS/Android), CI/CD, or backend work (Node, Python, Go, etc.).

What you'll work on

  • Jump into the real codebase from day one, not shadow from the sidelines
  • Build and ship features across the Flutter app — onboarding, lessons, roleplays, AI voice conversations, feedback flows, and monetization
  • Work on real-time voice interactions and the flows that make them feel instant and natural
  • Integrate with backend services and APIs, and dig into the backend yourself when needed
  • Chase down bugs, crashes, and performance issues, and improve app stability
  • Look at funnels, activation, feature usage, and paywalls to understand how your code affects real user behavior
  • Test features before they go live, challenge weak UX, question unclear copy, and push for the details that make the product better
  • Help ship fast, measure what happened, learn from the results, and move on to the next iteration
  • Sometimes you'll work on mobile. Sometimes on backend. Sometimes on QA or performance. Sometimes on things no one has a perfect job title for yet

Important

This role is designed for candidates who will graduate by June 2026 and will be ready to start working full-time after graduation. If you are not graduating by June 2026, this may not be the right opening for you.
