Build your future with us Our Small Business Analytics department is currently seeking a Modeling Data Engineer I-IV. This role is responsible for procuring, transforming, and reporting data within the actuarial department to actuaries and business partners. This position can be based either at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio or remote work flexibility is available for candidates residing outside the Greater Cincinnati area.
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $185,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- support the data needs of pricing and predictive analytics
- maintain periodically updated data sets from a variety of internal and external sources
- develop reports to meet the needs of actuaries and internal business partners
- work with IT partners to develop reporting capabilities using cloud tools such as Snowflake and Power BI
Be equipped with:
- strong analytical and technical skills, including data mining, and use of tools such as SAS, Excel, Python, Snowflake, SQL Server, Power BI
- demonstrated ability to manage responsibilities independently while contributing to team objectives
- effective written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate actuarial analyses through reports, charts, and stakeholder discussions
Bring education and experience from:
- a bachelor's degree or higher in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics or a similar technical field of study (required)
- three of more years of insurance industry experience
