Overview The Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) is responsible for driving Azure consumption, customer success, and digital transformation through technical leadership across Data, Analytics, and AI solutions. The CSA partners with customers, account teams, specialists, and partners to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud architectures that accelerate adoption of Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Data Services, AI Foundry, and related Azure capabilities.

This role combines technical depth, customer engagement, and business impact to drive Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR), customer health, Unified outcomes, and pipeline creation. The CSA serves as a trusted technical advisor for strategic enterprise customers while collaborating across Microsoft's sales and delivery ecosystem. Based on FY27 role guidance, primary focus areas include Fabric, Databricks, Purview, Databases, and Data Analytics, with adjacent responsibilities across AI Foundry and GitHub Copilot solutions.

Responsibilities Customer & Technical Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers on cloud, data, analytics, and AI transformation initiatives.
  • Lead architecture design, solution reviews, and technical guidance for Azure-based data platforms.
  • Design and implement modern data estates leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Purview.
  • Support customers in building governed, secure, and scalable data and AI solutions.

Azure Consumption & Business Growth

  • Drive Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) growth through workload adoption and production deployments.
  • Identify and accelerate opportunities aligned to customer business priorities and Microsoft solution plays.
  • Deliver technical execution that converts MACC commitments into realized Azure consumption. The FY27 CSA role is explicitly measured on ACR attainment, customer health, factory usage, and consumption excellence.

AI & Innovation

  • Help customers leverage AI Foundry, Copilot technologies, and intelligent applications using enterprise data.
  • Design AI-enabled architectures that integrate data platforms, governance, and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with specialists and engineering teams to accelerate AI solution adoption.

Delivery Excellence

  • Lead architecture workshops, technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and production deployments.
  • Ensure solutions follow Microsoft best practices for security, reliability, governance, and operational excellence.
  • Drive customer health through proactive risk identification and mitigation.

Collaboration & Account Team Engagement

  • Partner closely with CSAMs, Account Executives, Solution Specialists, Partners, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in account planning and strategic opportunity development.
  • Share technical best practices and contribute reusable assets, accelerators, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Continuous Learning

  • Maintain deep technical expertise across Azure Data & AI solutions.
  • Stay current on Microsoft Fabric, AI Foundry, Databricks, Purview, Copilot, and emerging technologies.
  • Complete required skilling and certifications aligned to FY27 Cloud & AI priorities

Qualifications Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture, data engineering, analytics, or solution consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture, data platforms, and cloud operating models.
  • Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders.

Primary Cloud & AI Data workload focus includes Fabric, Databricks, and Databases, with adjacent capabilities across AI Foundry and GitHub Copilot.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure certifications (AZ-305, DP-600, DP-203, AI-102, or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud migrations or modernization programs.
  • Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Government, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, and data governance initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
