Orange Systems is looking for a new colleague to fill in the position ofPHP Developer.
What you will be doing:
You will play a leading role in the development and maintenance of a custom ecosystem built around open-source ITSM, CMDB, and monitoring tools, with responsibilities including:
- Development and maintenance of GLPI plugins (for example: inventory plugin for Google Cloud, Amazon AWS)
- Development of iTOP extensions
- Enhancement and maintenance of data collection, manipulation and synchronization scripts for GLPI and iTOP
- Enhancement and maintenance of scripts used for the automatic configuration and administration of GLPI and iTOP
- Maintenance and development of dockerized microservices components based on Laravel and Symfony for:
- HTTP discovery services for Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics exposing/consuming REST APIs and collecting data from GLPI and iTOP
- tickets/data synchronization service between iTOP/GLPI and internal tools
- other integration services required to support the overall platform ecosystem;
- Writing and maintaining unit tests
- Managing development activities through GitLab, including version control and CI/CD processes
- Progressively taking broad responsibility for development-related activities across the supported components
We are looking for:
- Strong experience with PHP 8.x development (5+ years)
- Solid hands-on experience with Symfony and/or Laravel
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of Docker and containerized applications
- Good experience with MariaDB / MySQL, including writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Experience with unit testing using PHPUnit or equivalent tools
- Proficiency with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work effectively with existing codebases, including maintenance, refactoring, and incremental improvements
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in GLPI plugin development
- Experience in iTOP extension development
- Knowledge of Prometheus and/or VictoriaMetrics
- Experience with cloud platform APIs such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
- Familiarity with Grafana and ITSM / CMDB processes
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying and managing containerized microservices
Soft Skills:
- Autonomous, able to take full ownership of development activities
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to ramp up quickly on specialized tools and existing codebases
- Strong quality awareness — deliverables are expected to be thoroughly tested and reliable before release
- Comfortable working fluently in English, both written and spoken
Please note: experience with GLPI and iTOP is a strong advantage, but not a mandatory prerequisite. These are specialized platforms, and we value candidates with strong PHP engineering skills who can learn niche tools quickly.
