Application Support Engineer (Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to provide technical and operational support for business-critical applications within a manufacturing environment in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

This is an onsite position requiring direct interaction with plant-floor operations, technical teams, and client stakeholders. Candidates must be based in Ciudad Juárez or able to work onsite at the location.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite support activities, including troubleshooting, workshops, plant-floor project implementations, and client meetings.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and technical escalations.
• Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of application issues.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and third-party vendors for issue resolution and enhancements.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist with change and release management activities to ensure smooth production deployments.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with established SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics.

Required Technical Skills

• Microsoft SQL: 5+ years
• C# / VB.NET: 5+ years
• Oracle PL/SQL: 2+ years
• Borland Delphi: 2+ years
• Unix/Linux: 2+ years
• Java: 2+ years

Required Profile

• 5+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or a similar technical role.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications, preferably within manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with incident management, change management, releases, and production environments.
• Ability to interact directly with clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Availability to work onsite in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
