About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager in the construction industry is responsible for overseeing and directing large-scale construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management to successfully coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors. The Senior Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, facilitating clear communication and alignment of project goals. They are accountable for maintaining compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and contractual obligations while driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in achieving client satisfaction and contributing to the company’s reputation for excellence in construction management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
  • Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Familiarity with advanced construction technologies and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Experience working on federal or large public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks and resolving issues promptly.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, financials, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement processes and contract negotiations to optimize cost efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery methodologies and team performance.
