Position Overview

Seeking Network Engineers for the Ground-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS). The ground-based radars are critical to US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyzes customer requirements and solves problems with innovative solutions
  • Provides knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and telecom equipment
  • Provides knowledge for maintaining network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
  • Analyzes, evaluates and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve solutions for technical problems
  • Develops engineering ideas and guides their development into a final product
  • Develops solutions to a variety of engineering problems
  • Perform network/systems design, development, and integration from the start of a project life cycle to the end
  • Provides and applies engineering to infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network devices, telecom equipment, radio equipment, operating systems, application software, and system management tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 to 9 years of relevant experience
  • Must have Network+ Certification or higher (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
  • Candidates Must have a STRONG understanding of network design and architecture, especially with SIEMs and firewalls
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and telecom equipment

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience sustaining Ground-Based Radar systems (GBRs), or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as UEWR or PAVE PAWS
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) mission and associated enterprise
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams and resolve gaps
  • Experience maintaining national security mission networks
