Position Overview
The State of Arizona is seeking a Senior Data Migration Validation Analyst to support a large-scale data migration initiative involving legacy Mainframe systems, SQL Server staging databases, and Salesforce Service Cloud. The selected candidate will validate end-to-end data migration, perform reconciliation, ensure data integrity, and verify source-to-target mappings while collaborating with ETL and Salesforce development teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Service Cloud
- 5+ years of experience in Data Conversion Testing & Validation
- Advanced SQL (Joins, CTEs, Window Functions, Data Profiling)
- Salesforce Data Architecture, SOQL, Data Loader, Workbench
- Data reconciliation and migration validation
- Data mapping and Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) validation
- Financial and statistical reconciliation
- Defect tracking and data quality analysis

Key Responsibilities
- Validate data throughout the migration pipeline (Mainframe → SQL Server → Salesforce).
- Perform record count, hash total, and financial reconciliation across environments.
- Review and validate Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation.
- Develop complex SQL scripts to validate data transformation logic.
- Validate Salesforce data using SOQL, Data Loader, and Workbench.
- Verify relational integrity, object relationships, and external IDs.
- Identify, document, and resolve data migration defects.
- Work closely with ETL and Salesforce development teams to resolve data issues.
- Automate validation and reconciliation processes using Python or Power Query where applicable.
