Accountabilities: The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and enhance scalable software solutions that expand platform functionality and improve customer experiences. This role requires technical leadership, strong ownership, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality systems.

• Build and enhance platform capabilities through manifest-driven development approaches.

• Develop backend services using Java and Kotlin to enable extensible platform functionality and integrations.

• Create Python-based workers and services that extend platform value through third-party integrations.

• Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform engineering teams to deliver strategic product initiatives.

• Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure scalable, maintainable, and API-first solutions.

• Design and implement software systems that support high availability and large-scale usage.

• Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing logs, metrics, traces, and system behavior.

• Apply strong software engineering practices to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Contribute to technical decisions, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support additional engineering activities as needed to achieve team and business objectives.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with deep expertise in Java development, scalable systems, and backend architecture. This role requires strong technical judgment, adaptability across technologies, and experience building reliable products at scale.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• 10+ years of experience developing Java-based software applications for product environments or equivalent experience.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, with Python experience considered a plus.

• 4+ years of experience designing and supporting highly scalable software systems.

• Proven ability to solve complex scalability challenges and optimize systems for growth.

• Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering workflows.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.

• Expertise in API development, REST services, and frameworks such as Jersey or Spring.

• Experience with relational database design and development.

• Knowledge of client-side and server-side development for responsive communication systems.

• Experience with caching technologies, including Redis, is highly valued.

• Strong understanding of software testing practices and quality assurance methodologies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams and communicate complex technical concepts.
