The successful Finance Systems Administrator & Project Manager will bridge the gap between IT and Finance with involvement in implementing, administrating, and supporting new and existing finance related software systems deployed within the global organization. They will act as a key member of new system implementations and, depending on scope and scale, act as the project manager to ensure a technology deployment that is on time and on budget. Once a system is in place, they will act as a key administrator to ensure new user setup, feature requests, and technical support related issues are handled in a timely manner. The person filling this role will have a holistic understanding of the finance systems in use and the roadmap for system implementations and improvements.

Work Schedule: Schedule fluctuates based on workloads during weekdays with afterhours / weekend work as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates finance system implementations alongside finance and IT resources, often acting as a project manager for the project
  • Facilitates end user technical support either independently or with external support resources, depending on the system
  • Coordinates with the CargoScience software development team if any development is required to support new or existing system implementations
  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders
  • Works with the IT and Finance teams to ensure system documentation and training exists for new and existing users
  • Will participate in, or manage, systems configuration and QA testing
  • Engages business units to improve and enhance existing systems and processes and supports business case development
  • Collaborates with IT and Finance teams to scope out new projects
  • Provides research assistance for new system integration or interface specifications Technically manages system integrations and interfaces
  • Ensures all project deliverables are met and gets the final business unit to sign off Assists in the development of business test cases and documents testing procedures during implementation and feature roll-outs of finance systems
  • Provides follow up and collect business feedback on provided solutions
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Technical Skills

Required Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting, implementing, or administering enterprise finance systems.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting ERP solutions in a global organization.
  • Experience implementing and/or administering NetSuite is required.
  • Experience with ADP, Deel, an HRIS platform (DarwinBox preferred), and a travel and expense system (Brex preferred) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with business applications and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of ERP concepts and finance system integrations.

Other Requirements

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve finance system issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create training materials and deliver system training during implementations and ongoing support.
  • Experience providing technical training or customer support is a plus.
