In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team who support the planning, coordination and monitoring of train movements, ensuring we are meeting operational needs and maintaining the highest level of safety for both employees and customers.
As a Trainee Train Service Delivery Manager, this role will see you develop and grow a wide range of skills, through on the job training and supported training in a classroom style environment. You will work on the strategic and forward planning across the whole network of rail traffic.
You will assess impacted train paths to allow for engineering and infrastructure works to take place. Alongside this you will use your ability to make fast and critical business decisions to deal with emergencies that happen on the network, adapting to any situations whilst under pressure to ensure minimal disruptions to our service whilst maintaining safety as a key focus.
About you
Your ability to think fast on your feet to make critical business decisions whilst under pressure will see you excel in this role.
You will have current operational experience within Sydney Trains or NSW Trains or be a candidate from an external agency with relevant experience as a network controller within a rail network .
It is preferred that you have an existing knowledge of rail operations or train control functions, and you will have worked with safe working practices.
This is a RC4, 24/7 shift working role in an 8 hour shift rotation and is an on-site role on the control room floor. This is a temporary opportunity for up to 12 months.
