Job Description:

Finance Operations Reporting and MI Analyst (Open)  Location: Brighton, Victory House (BN1 4FY)  Contract: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week  Salary: £41,600 - £50,000 + excellent Bupa benefits  Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office)

As a Finance Operations Reporting & MI Analyst, you'll play a key role in transforming operational finance data into meaningful business intelligence that supports senior leaders across the organisation. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded MI professional who enjoys turning complex data into actionable insight. You'll have the chance to influence how Finance Operations measures performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and build reporting solutions that directly support business outcomes. 

What you'll be doing  You'll become the reporting expert within Finance Operations, owning and enhancing the reporting suite used by stakeholders across the business. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards that provide meaningful insights into Finance Operations performance 
  • Producing impactful monthly reporting packs for audiences ranging from operational leaders to Executive Committee members 
  • Analysing trends in collections, debt, liabilities, cash flow and operational performance 
  • Working with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective MI solutions 
  • Using PL/SQL to investigate data queries, validate reporting outputs and support project work 
  • Delivering ad hoc analysis that supports business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Maintaining and optimising existing reporting solutions as business requirements evolve 

What we're looking for 

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical MI skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders. 

You'll bring: 

  • Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development and report automation 
  • Experience working with finance, operational or performance reporting data 
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL or SQL, with the ability to interrogate and investigate data 
  • Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting techniques 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging senior leadership teams 
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Previous experience in a Finance Operations, Finance MI or Finance Change environment
