Job Description
As an IT Financial Analyst with OMES you will enjoy:

- Salary is up to $75,000, based on education and experience.
- This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Position Summary
The IT Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing IT expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals, and supporting financial decision-making within the IT department. This role serves as a key liaison between IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to route purchase approvals, track spending, and provide accurate reporting on IT financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Budget Monitoring & Analysis
- Track and analyze IT spend across hardware, software, services, and projects.
- Compare actual expenditures against budget forecasts and identify variances.
- Provide recommendations for cost optimization and budget adherence.
Purchase Approval Routing
- Review IT purchase requests for compliance with budget and policy.
- Route approvals through appropriate channels and ensure timely processing.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase approvals and related documentation.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IT financial reports for leadership.
- Develop dashboards and metrics to visualize IT spend trends.
- Support forecasting and planning activities for IT budgets.
Vendor & Contract Management Support
- Assist in tracking vendor invoices and contract renewals.
- Ensure proper allocation of costs to projects and cost centers.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies and IT procurement standards.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation for IT-related financial transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of OMES, partner agencies, and IT Enterprise Governance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in IT or technology-related environments.
