[What the role is]

The incumbent will support the Meter Management Section across meter workshop operations, procurement, and asset administration. Key responsibilities include:

[What you will be working on]

Meter Workshop Operations

Manage the daily operations of the meter workshop, including the testing and reconditioning of water meters across assorted sizes and types.

Procurement & Contract Management

Lead meter procurement activities, including the preparation of tender specifications, calling of tenders, and evaluation of bids. Manage contracts with external parties such as outsourced test laboratory, ensuring service levels and contractual obligations are met.

Asset Administration

Handle asset capitalisation and timely asset write-offs, ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date.

Technology & Continuous Improvement

Stay abreast of emerging meter technologies and evaluate their potential application to operations. Identify and implement improvements to meter workshop infrastructure and processes, such as test bench upgrades.
