Location: Bangalore

Business & Team:

Financial Crime Technology (FCT) are accountable for build & maintenance of Technology Services to fulfil the Group's Financial Crime Regulatory & Compliance Obligations. The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will play a key role and strengthen the stability, resiliency, and operational maturity of our FCP Service/Oracle FCMRE.

Impact & contribution:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic regulatory reporting initiatives, supporting production operations, and driving the integration of our future-state data architecture. This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor offshore engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve reliability, availability, and recoverability of Monitoring & Screening platforms 
  • Define and manage SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and observability to proactively manage service health.
  • Provide L1/L2 production support for FCP Platform, AutoSys batch scheduling, API services, and cloud-hosted components (AWS).
  • Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and automation to reduce operational cost.
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews across screening, batch, and cloud ecosystems.
  • Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python/Shell) to support batch processing and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to design reliable, scalable screening and cloud-integrated solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as per operational requirements

Skills & Experience Essential

  • Min 10+ years of relevant hands-on work experience in software development
  • Experience on operating production-grade systems with strong reliability and availability requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of SRE and Observability practices (monitoring, logging, alerting, SLOs).
  • Hands-on experience with Customer Screening / Financial Crime platform and Oracle FCMRE.
  • Strong Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC) and cloud-based architectures.
  • Contribute to DevSecOps changes and help the engineering chapter towards higher DevSecOps maturity
  • Experience with batch processing frameworks and schedulers (e.g. AutoSys).
  • Working knowledge of API development and integration (RESTful services).
  • Very Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell for automation and operational support.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Github actions, Teamcity, Octopus).
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, PagerDuty. Preferably working experience in Observe setting up datasets, monitoring, and alerts
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
  • Expert troubleshooting of implementation, environment and deployment issues.
  • Experience in Java, NodeJS, C#.
