Financial Reporting & Treasury Analyst (m/f/d)

Job Purpose / Role:

  We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting and Treasury Analyst to join our Singapore reinsurance branch. Reporting to the Financial Reporting & Treasury Manager, the successful candidate will support treasury operations, investment activities, financial reporting, regulatory submissions and tax-related matters related to our Property and Casualty and Life and Health reinsurance business written across the Asia-Pacific region. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders while contributing to accurate, timely and compliant finance operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

1.    Support day-to-day treasury operations, including bank account administration, cash management, fixed deposit placements and fund transfers. 2.    Process banking and investment transactions accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with internal policies, mandates and approval requirements. 3.    Assist in month-end closing activities, treasury reporting, reconciliations, FX exposure reporting and preparation of Investment Committee materials. 4.    Analyse financial results across lines of business, identify key movements and trends, and prepare clear supporting commentaries. 5.    Support statutory, regulatory and tax reporting requirements, including monitor of regulatory circulars, tax provisioning, deferred tax, Pillar Two reporting, and responses to audit or tax authority queries. 6.    Perform quality checks across system interfaces and GAAP ledgers, and collaborate with management, internal teams, auditors, tax advisers, banks, regulators and other stakeholders. 7.    Support in finance transformation projects. 8.    Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:

 

 

1.    Degree or diploma in Accountancy, Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline. 2.    Up to 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax or insurance finance; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply. 3.    Good understanding of accounting principles and standards. Exposure to insurance or reinsurance accounting, IFRS 17 or regulatory reporting would be an advantage 4.    Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial information in a business context. 5.    Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, financial systems or other data analytics or automation tools will be an advantage. 6.    Interest in leveraging AI, automation and data analytics tools to improve treasury processes, financial reporting and business insights. 7.    A team player who is organized, reliable and proactive, with good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
