DevOps Engineer (Intern)

We are a Singapore-based software consulting firm looking for motivated and curious individuals to join us as DevOps Interns. This internship is designed for candidates who want hands-on exposure to real-world DevOps environments while supporting our DevOps Engineers with daily operational and documentation work.

You will work closely with experienced DevOps Engineers and cross-functional teams, contributing to deployment support, documentation, and process improvements while learning industry best practices. This role will be based in our Bandung office.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Intern, you will be expected to:

• Assist DevOps Engineers in day-to-day BAU (Business-As-Usual) activities

• Support deployment activities under supervision across Dev, UAT, and Production environments

• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks

• Help document CI/CD pipelines, deployment flows, and environment configurations

• Assist in managing and tracking releases across environments

• Support basic cloud environment administration (AWS / Azure) under guidance

• Help prepare and document backup and recovery procedures

• Coordinate with Developers, QA, and PMs for deployment-related tasks

• Perform basic scripting or automation tasks where applicable

• Assist with basic technical issue investigation and troubleshooting under guidance

• Research and document DevOps tools, practices, and internal workflows

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields

• Basic understanding of DevOps concepts (CI/CD, environments, automation)

• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows environments

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure is preferred)

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in investigating and resolving technical issues

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is a plus

• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, or Python) is a plus

• Strong written communication skills, especially for documentation

• Willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned tasks, and work independently when needed

• Able to work on-site from our Bandung office

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Docker or containerization concepts

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms, including basic troubleshooting

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g. Terraform – basic understanding)

• Experience working on university projects, labs, or personal projects involving deployment or cloud

• Interest in pursuing a DevOps Engineer role in the future

• The role is office-based in Bandung
