About the Role

As an AP1000 Project Engineering Manager (PEM), you will play a key role in supporting international AP1000 new build opportunities and strategic growth initiatives across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Canada.

You will lead engineering activities supporting market development, customer engagement, bid preparation, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contracts, and future project execution. Working within the APx Fleet Product Strategy and Non-US Project Engineering organization, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and help position Westinghouse for success in the global new nuclear market.

This role combines engineering leadership, project execution, people management, customer engagement, and business development support.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Project Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, and coordination of engineering activities supporting AP1000 opportunities.
  • Develop and manage engineering scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across multiple technical disciplines and functional teams.
  • Facilitate resolution of technical, schedule, and integration challenges.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project objectives, quality requirements, and customer expectations.

Team Management & Resource Planning

  • Lead and develop a team of Project Engineers located across Europe and Canada.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to assigned team members and technical leads.
  • Monitor project staffing requirements and communicate resource needs proactively.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support customer discussions and stakeholder engagement activities related to AP1000 projects.
  • Coordinate responses to customer Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Interface with customers, partners, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to building strong relationships that support project success and future business opportunities.

Business Development & Proposal Support

  • Support bid and proposal activities for AP1000 opportunities across Europe and Canada.
  • Contribute to FEED contract execution and engineering integration activities.
  • Collaborate with commercial, engineering, and project teams to develop competitive and executable solutions.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing the marketability and delivery readiness of AP1000 projects.

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Work with Engineering Directors and cross-functional teams to implement standard engineering processes and best practices.
  • Support the deployment of automation tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with strategic objectives established by project stakeholders.

Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in:

  • Engineering
  • Project Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Large industrial or energy projects

• Previous experience leading medium- or high-complexity projects.

• Prior people management experience is required.

• Experience in nuclear new build projects is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with AP1000 projects, processes, and methodologies is an advantage.

Languages

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Additional languages are considered a strong asset.
