About the role Are you a seasoned finance professional who loves the thrill of driving change just as much as the precision of numbers? We are looking for a Finance Project Manager to sit at the dynamic intersection of accounting, controlling, and our product and tech teams. In this hybrid role, you will be the bridge between finance and technology, spending roughly 70% of your time leading impactful, tech-driven finance initiatives, and 30% supporting our core operational finance and Financial Controlling work. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and want to shape how our financial systems evolve, this is the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impact.
What you'll do
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of critical finance projects, such as AP/AR system replacements, bank migrations, payment integrations, new subsidiary onboarding, and tax rule implementations.
- Act as the core finance lead in NetSuite-related workstreams, translating complex accounting requirements into concrete system specifications for our product team.
- Manage project planning, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional collaboration across both internal teams and external partners.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies within our current financial processes and take the initiative to launch optimization projects.
- Roll up your sleeves to support month-end and year-end closing processes, day-to-day accounting activities, and ad hoc financial analyses.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare and review quarterly and annual reports, collectively ensuring all financial processes remain fully compliant with applicable regulations and standards
Who you are
- You have 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial controlling, ideally having worked as an Accounting Manager or Financial Controller across multiple companies.
- You have a proven track record in a startup, tech, or otherwise fast-moving environment, and you love understanding how systems work end-to-end.
- You have hands-on experience driving initiatives like ERP/system implementations, bank migrations, subsidiary integrations, or preparing multiple statutory annual reports.
- You are fluent in both Swedish and English (written and spoken) and can effortlessly explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences.
- You bring order to ambiguity, keep projects strictly on track, and proactively identify what needs to be done without waiting for prompting.
- You are comfortable and effective working across all seniority levels and different company functions.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
- Experience working within an international, multi-currency, or publicly listed company.
- Familiarity with IFRS.
