About the job:
The CyberSecurity OT & Network Operations Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving Opella’s Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) networking environments across global manufacturing and supply operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of network infrastructure supporting a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen the resilience, security, and performance of critical manufacturing networks worldwide.
- Collaborate with global teams to protect and optimize OT and IT environments while supporting operational excellence across manufacturing sites.
- Put purpose into practice by ensuring secure and reliable systems that enable access to essential healthcare products for consumers around the world.
- Model the challenger mindset by simplifying complex networking and cybersecurity challenges while maintaining high standards of security and operational continuity.
- Help shape a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Main responsibilities:
• Monitor, maintain, and support global OT and IT network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and operational stability across manufacturing environments.
- Respond to service requests, incidents, outages, and operational issues within agreed service levels, coordinating with relevant teams to restore services quickly and effectively.
- Validate, test, and deploy network and security changes designed by architecture teams while minimizing operational risk.
- Support incident response and recovery activities related to cybersecurity events affecting OT and manufacturing environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure network and security requirements are incorporated into operational projects and business initiatives.
- Maintain lifecycle management documentation for networking assets, including installation, patch management, maintenance planning, and technology refresh activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that enhance security, performance, and operational efficiency.
About you:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network operations and/or cybersecurity with strong expertise in networking infrastructure, firewalls, and operational support.
- Knowledge of industrial networking environments, SCADA architectures, and OT cybersecurity frameworks such as the Purdue Model.
- Experience working with SD-WAN technologies and managing complex enterprise network environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively during critical incidents and outages.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Network+, Security+, HPE Aruba, Azure, AWS, or equivalent are highly valued.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to maintaining mission-critical 24/7/365 environments.
