About the Role

CVS Health is seeking a Technical Business Analyst, Investment Systems to support the modernization of our investment data and reporting ecosystem. This role will work closely with Investment Management, Pension, Accounting, Operations, and Technology teams to analyze, document, and improve critical business processes, data flows, and reporting solutions.

You will play a key role in capturing institutional knowledge, translating complex business and technical requirements into clear documentation, and helping drive the migration of our investment data warehouse to Google Cloud Platform. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine business analysis, data management, cloud transformation, and emerging AI capabilities in a highly visible environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and data flows.
  • Document and validate business rules, calculations, reporting logic, and system dependencies across investment platforms.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and data lineage artifacts.
  • Support data warehouse modernization initiatives, including migration to Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve data quality, governance, metadata, and reporting capabilities.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, testing, and data validation activities.
  • Help establish the foundation for advanced analytics and AI-enabled data solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data warehousing, reporting, analytics, or related disciplines.
  • SQL skills with experience analyzing complex queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
  • Proven experience documenting business processes, requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and data quality practices.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience working independently and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Ability to be onsite in Harford 2+ times a week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Investment Management, Pension, Asset Management, Banking, Insurance, or other financial services environments.
  • Familiarity with investment data including holdings, transactions, performance, accounting, benchmarks, and security master data.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Oracle SQR, or legacy reporting platforms.
  • Experience supporting cloud migrations, particularly within Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
  • Exposure to metadata management, data catalogs, semantic models, or AI-driven analytics solutions.

Role is hybrid out of Hartford and does not provide sponsorship at this time.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
