We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Product Manager to join our Digital Assets team. This role is located in New York, NY.

Job Overview: We are seeking a Product Manager to lead initiatives for BNY’s digital asset business. The candidate will take end-to-end ownership of bringing new products and services to market by defining product strategy, leading design, project planning and execution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial market structure, blockchain-based technology, and product delivery within an agile framework.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Strategy:

  • Help define the near- and long-term product strategy by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and service providers; analyzing the market; and understanding emerging trends
  • Ensure product alignment with BNY’s mission and principles
  • Ensure that product designs adhere to bank and industry best practices

Product Design:

  • Translate client needs into commercial product solutions
  • Develop product roadmaps to ensure incremental and timely product delivery

Commercial Analysis:

  • Understand the regulatory environment and product feasibility
  • Define target client segments and go-to-market strategy
  • Conduct competitive market research and analysis

Collaboration:

  • Engage with cross-functional subject matter experts
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Adhere to the product governance framework

Performance Metrics:

  • Define and implement a clear support model for the product across its full lifecycle, including ownership, escalation, maintenance, and transition planning
  • Track product performance across operational, technical and commercial indicators
  • Collect client and internal feedback for continuous product improvement

Demonstrated Skills & Experience:

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the digital asset landscape. Familiar with digital and traditional asset settlement.

Curiosity: Demonstrates strong interest in blockchain concepts and operations, including digital custody solutions, smart contracts, provenance, compliance, and supporting operational processes.

Self-motivated: Proactively identifies new opportunities or challenges; takes ownership of outcomes

Collaborative: Strong ability to partner with stakeholders and lead within complex, matrixed organizations to deliver on goals.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to make decisions and solve problems.

Customer Focus: Strong focus on delivering value to clients, understanding client pain points, and identifying new opportunities.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7–10 years of relevant industry experience in digital assets, trading, custody or financial services product management.
  • Must exhibit flexibility and be able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment where new challenges arise and priorities shift.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with experience writing functional and non-functional business requirements and/or user stories.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
