- You are a senior engineering leader with strong technical judgement, people leadership capability and experience across identity, data, AI and platform engineering.
- We are building the next generation of enterprise identity intelligence, connecting fragmented identity data into trusted insights, real-time risk signals and automated security outcomes.
See yourself in our team
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Identity Graph & Signals Engineering team.
You will lead the development of graph-based identity capabilities, data platforms and services that connect identity information across the enterprise and turn it into actionable security intelligence. The role spans graph technologies, data engineering, real-time processing, cloud-native platforms and identity security.
Do work that matters:
- Lead, coach and grow a high-performing engineering team, building strong technical capability and a culture of reliable delivery.
- Define and deliver the technical strategy for identity intelligence, graph capabilities, signals and supporting platforms.
- Build scalable data pipelines, services, APIs and connected identity models using modern cloud-native engineering practices.
- Integrate identity data from enterprise systems and authoritative sources, with strong controls for quality, lineage and reliability.
- Model identity relationships across workforce, customer, machine and privileged identities.
- Generate real-time signals from authentication, access, behavioural and operational data to support detection, risk analytics and automation.
- Apply graph analytics, data analytics and AI to identify patterns, anomalies and relationships across identity data.
- Drive CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, observability and operational excellence.
- Build secure, resilient and scalable solutions while balancing delivery priorities with platform health and technical debt.
- Partner with architects, security leaders, product owners and engineering teams to translate technical complexity into clear business and security outcomes.
- Influence technology direction through strong engineering judgement and evidence-based decision making.
We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- Significant experience leading engineering teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong software engineering capability in Java, Python, Go, TypeScript or similar languages.
- Experience building and operating large-scale data platforms, APIs and distributed systems.
- Cloud engineering experience across AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, streaming and real-time processing.
- Experience with graph technologies, connected data or relationship modelling.
- Strong data engineering foundations across modelling, ETL/ELT and data quality.
- Understanding of identity and access management.
- Experience delivering across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes.
- Strong people leadership and coaching capability.
Highly regarded:
Experience in any of the following would be valuable, but is not essential:
- Identity security or identity data platforms.
- Amazon Neptune, Neo4j, TigerGraph or similar graph technologies.
- Graph analytics, relationship modelling and connected data architectures.
- Identity governance and administration.
- OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and SAML.
- Privileged access and machine identity.
- Security analytics, threat detection and risk modelling.
- AI, machine learning or agentic systems.
- Platform engineering and developer experience.
- Real-time data processing and event streaming technologies.
What success looks like
Success in this role means:
- Establishing trusted identity graph and intelligence capabilities across the enterprise.
- Delivering reusable services that support security, risk and engineering teams.
- Generating high-quality signals that improve detection, decision-making and automation.
- Improving the quality and accessibility of connected enterprise identity information.
- Building secure, scalable and sustainable engineering platforms.
- Developing a highly engaged and technically respected engineering team.
- Helping shape the organisation’s longer-term identity, data and AI strategy.
