This position is eligible for remote work. This role will have occasional on site expectations.

Job Responsibilities

​• Build the webservices, data pipelines, and software infrastructure required to develop and deploy machine learning functionality to the production website.

• Assist in the design and implementation of core machine learning algorithms used by product teams, including:
• Search ranking, sponsored products ads, advertising technologies, recommendations, personalization, marketing
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.

Job Requirements

​• Minimum three years of professional software development experience.

• Strong coding skills, including proficiency in Java, Python, and SQL.
• Ability to design and build highly performant and scalable systems.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills. You have basic familiarity with techniques in machine learning, analytics and/or related fields.
• Excellent collaborator and communicator and are eager to learn and grow!

Skills

​• Experience with webservice development.

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop/Spark.
• Experience with informational retrieval technologies such as search engines and recommendation systems.
• Experience building batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Experience in data mining, learning to rank, deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning, and/or related fields.
• Proficiency with unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Reasonable overlap with the following relevant technologies and processes:
• Java, Python
• Google Cloud Platform
• Hadoop, SQL
• Kafka, Beam
• Tensorflow, Keras, Torch, CUDA
• Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow
• Linux, bash

• Strong desire to collaborate and develop new technologies.
• Willingness to learn new tools and flexibility to adapt to different deployment pipelines
• Strong communication abilities and willingness to lead and inspire other engineers

Education

​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
