As an Engineering Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's engineering and maintenance operations. Your role involves strategic planning, implementation of maintenance programs, and ensuring the efficient functioning of all facilities. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to support their technical needs and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Collaborate, plan, and execute preventive maintenance schedules, minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing the engineering department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting performance and service standards.
- Supervise engineering colleagues, conduct performance assessments, and provide training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to address technical requirements and provide support for events and activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, maintaining a secure and sustainable working environment.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in engineering, implementing improvements as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and procurement, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to the overall guest experience by ensuring that the physical facilities meet high standards of quality, safety, and functionality.
