This Financial Analyst III role sits within the Finance department supporting a Seller Support Contact Center in a dynamic, fast-growing, and highly customer-focused environment. The position requires a proactive, organized self-starter who delivers accurate financial and operational analysis to help internal customer groups operate more efficiently and predictably while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with finance, accounting, and operational leaders to build scalable financial processes, support strategic planning, and provide data-driven insights that drive cost savings, process improvements, and strong financial controls.Responsibilities
- Support internal customer groups and the controller in all finance and accounting matters, including budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking, and financial control.
- Partner with functional leaders and other finance stakeholders to design and implement scalable financial processes and meaningful business metrics.
- Produce and deliver financial and business analysis to site leaders and business partners, including clear cost-saving opportunities and process improvement recommendations.
- Assist in the strategic operational planning process by identifying financial risks and opportunities and providing analytical support to business teams.
- Write and execute system queries to gather financial data and perform data mining and analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Cognos/Essbase, and SQL.
- Execute and monitor internal financial controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in financial reporting and processes.
- Provide project support, including helping to move projects off hold and supporting cross-functional finance and accounting initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with accounting teams, including work related to SEC compliance and GAAP-based accounting activities.
- Build, maintain, and improve financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
- Analyze large volumes of complex data, synthesize key insights, and present clear, concise findings and recommendations to management.
- Demonstrate strong judgment and a high work ethic by proactively identifying issues, proposing solutions, and exceeding expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and their application in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Ability to write and run system queries and perform data mining and analysis using tools such as Cognos/Essbase and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong work ethic with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including clear written and oral communication, with the ability to present findings to management.
- Comfort working with large volumes of complex data and translating analysis into actionable insights.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions based on financial data and business context.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is a strong plus.
- Audit experience, particularly in environments requiring strong financial controls and compliance, is highly desirable.
- Experience working closely with accounting teams and exposure to SEC compliance processes.
- Experience with Cognos and SQL is a strong plus beyond basic familiarity.
- Prior experience in a large, customer-centric technology or e-commerce finance organization is beneficial.
- 3+ years of experience in roles involving GAAP accounting, audit, or CPA-related responsibilities is considered a nice-to-have.
Work EnvironmentThis role is 100% onsite at a Bellevue-area office location (SEA82). You will work in a fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment that emphasizes customer-centricity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The position involves close collaboration with finance, accounting, and operational teams, including work related to SEC compliance and GAAP-based accounting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $56.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
