The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for directing facility and engineering personnel in the daily maintenance of hospital buildings and medical equipment. They oversee project planning, budget execution, and ensure compliance with local and international standards.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a management role. Experience in a JCI accredited organization is preferred, along with strong leadership and analytical capabilities.

Administrative activities:
- Responsible for taking decisions on project work modifications / alteration being carried out inside the premises of the hospital.
- Responsible for maintaining and renovating utility equipment in various areas.
- Periodically liaises with government organizations and other establishments in relation with the maintenance department to comply with local and international applicable standards/law’s requirement.
- Responsible for planning the budget and execution of various projects inside the premises of the hospital.
- Takes decisions according to the hospital policy and in co-ordination with the management.
- Responsible for looking after the welfare of the staff in the department.
- Arranges for the appropriate contractors for particular jobs with the help of the system-in-charge.
- Prepares long-term plans for projected renovation/modifications.
- Responsible for preparing the project budget for maintenance activities.
- Contributes to Quality initiatives.
- Trains staff for effective application and renovation of equipment.
- Undertakes day-to-day meetings with engineers/supervisors to analyze problems and find solutions.
- Co-ordinates with other departments for different projects.
- Analyzes the day-to-day problems which are recurring in nature and finds solutions for the same.
- Conducts appraisals for staff with the help of Assistant Engineer and System/In Charges.
- Investigates complaints and takes the necessary action accordingly.
- Takes personnel decisions regarding the staff.
- Responsible for disciplined departmental functioning.
- Designs specific targets in the departments.
- Solves work related problems faced by technicians/supervisors.
- Manages the respective section in day-to-day activities.
- Schedules and conducts routine preventive maintenance work.
- Organizes manpower and materials for the day-to-day activities.
- Assigns work to the technicians.
- Overlooks the contract jobs in the respective fields.
- Take care of the welfare of staff.
- Participates as an active member of the Facility Management Systems (FMS) committee.
- Identifies risk factors and takes the necessary actions.
- To review departmental policies and SOPS.
