Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

As a DevOps Engineer within the AFC technology division, you will play a key role in building, automating, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that power our critical risk-mitigation platforms. This role is ideal for a professional with 2–3 years of experience who is eager to deepen their expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), modern CI/CD practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure reliable, high-quality data workload releases.
  • Build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Automate repetitive operational workflows and deployment tasks using scripting languages to eliminate manual errors and improve team efficiency.
  • Implement and configure comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability tools to maintain high availability and performance across environments.
  • Collaborating with all the other areas (e.g.BA, QA, SM, PO) is the recipe for success.
  • Enforce security best practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls across all containerized platforms and deployment pipelines.

Skills:

  • Exposure of Google Cloud Platform (or another major cloud provider) and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform is essential.
  • Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions) and managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Scripting and automation skills in at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Bash) are essential.
  • Exposure of Helm Charts and configuring system monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Google Cloud Operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, Copilot) and modern, high-quality software engineering practices is preferred.
  • ITIL and SDLC are a must in a financial institution.
  • Software fails –> troubleshooting experience is important.
