Role Overview

The Fusion Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for driving the execution of Fusion delivery for Australia and New Zealand, working closely with local business desks, regional APAC stakeholders and global technology teams. This is an individual contributor delivery leadership role with no direct line management responsibility. Success depends on technical credibility, delivery discipline, stakeholder influence and strong partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, Security and Control functions.

The role coordinates Australia and New Zealand roadmap execution, manages dependencies, tracks risks and issues, and ensures changes are delivered into production with clear scope, appropriate controls, operational readiness and measurable adoption outcomes. The role will work closely with other Delivery Managers across APAC and the rest of the world to align sequencing, manage cross-region dependencies and ensure local delivery fits within the global Fusion roadmap. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a globally distributed delivery environment, using clear communication, disciplined planning and thoughtful stakeholder engagement to keep teams aligned across locations and time zones. They will also be comfortable engaging with technical detail, including integration, STP workflows, latency, resilience, observability, environments and release readiness, while translating complexity into clear delivery choices for business and senior technology stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

Delivery execution

  • Maintain and drive the integrated delivery plan for Fusion initiatives across Australia and New Zealand, covering scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, release readiness and adoption activity.
  • Coordinate local delivery across Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, Controls and business stakeholders to ensure commitments are realistic, visible and actively managed.
  • Work with other delivery managers across APAC and globally to align plans, manage cross-region dependencies and ensure consistency of delivery approach.
  • Track progress against delivery outcomes and ensure issues are escalated early with clear options, ownership and recommendations.
  • Support regular upgrades and technical debt reduction by ensuring remediation activity is visible, prioritised and included in delivery planning.

Technical delivery leadership

  • Work closely with engineering leads and architects to understand technical dependencies, integration risks, environment constraints and non-functional requirements.
  • Challenge delivery plans, estimates and assumptions where technical risks, dependencies or operational impacts are not sufficiently understood.
  • Ensure performance, latency, resilience, observability, security and supportability requirements are built into delivery planning and release readiness.
  • Translate technical complexity into clear business-facing delivery choices, trade-offs and recommendations.

Stakeholder and adoption management

  • Partner with Product Owners, Australia and New Zealand broking leadership and operational teams to define desk onboarding strategies across asset classes.
  • Build trusted relationships across broking, product, operations and engineering, using influence rather than line authority to drive delivery outcomes.
  • Maintain transparent communication on scope, risks, delivery expectations, trade-offs and sequencing across Australia and New Zealand stakeholders, while keeping APAC and global delivery partners aligned.
  • Track adoption and business outcome measures such as STP, contribution uplift, latency, stability and data capture.

Governance and risk management

  • Maintain disciplined RAID management and ensure risks, issues and dependencies are actively owned through to resolution.
  • Operate within Fusion governance and scaled agile ways of working while maintaining a pragmatic focus on delivery outcomes, risk management and production readiness.
  • Ensure releases meet functional, non-functional, operational and control requirements before production implementation.
  • Provide concise, evidence-based delivery updates for governance forums, senior technology stakeholders and business sponsors.

Experience & Competencies

Essential

  • Proven experience driving complex technology delivery across business, product, engineering and operations teams in a multi-region environment, ideally with direct responsibility for a local or regional market.
  • Strong technical delivery background, with the ability to engage credibly on architecture, integration, environments, testing, release readiness and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience managing dependencies, risks, issues, release plans and production readiness for business-critical platforms.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, surface risks early and turn technical complexity into clear delivery options and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to influence without direct line management authority across local, regional and global teams, and to maintain alignment across locations and time zones.
  • Comfort with agile or scaled agile delivery practices, applied pragmatically to improve transparency, predictability and outcome delivery.
  • Experience with electronic trading, API connectivity, STP workflows, latency-sensitive systems or platform migrations.

Desired

  • Understanding of Fusion or large-scale trading platform delivery.
  • Exposure to AWS, IAM/Okta, telemetry, observability or multi-region deployments.
  • Familiarity with AI tooling such as Claude, Kiro or Codex, and the ability to use such tools to improve delivery effectiveness, analysis and communication.
  • Experience working with governance forums, senior business sponsors and technology leadership in a regulated financial services environment.
