Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.

The project: Our consult team is now at the heart of the UK’s response to that challenge, having been appointed by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) as Programme Delivery Partner to the Science Capability in Animal Health (SCAH) Programme - a major infrastructure scheme that will create a state-of-the-art National Science Centre for Animal Health, at The Animal and Plant Health Agency’s (APHA) Science campus in southern England.

The programme involves a wide range of activities, including enabling works, infrastructure improvements, the creation of the main science hub, landscaping and placemaking works, and an overarching business change initiative.

  • Coordinating and administer the change control process, maintaining appropriate governance and records.
  • Supporting the production and assurance of contract and project reporting requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining SharePoint sites, documentation repositories, and project folders.
  • Proactively attend and contribute to meetings relevant to the projects and workstreams under their responsibility.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and reporting efficiencies.
  • Developing, maintaining and updating project controls plans, procedures and governance processes.
  • Preparing presentations, management reports and stakeholder briefing materials.

You’ll need to have:

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience on Project Controls on construction delivery projects.
  • Good communication skills between cross functionalities and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding and ability to use and analyse Primavera P6.
