Role: Trainee, QA, TTH ( 12 months)

Location : Midrand, South Africa

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Quality Assurance Department as a QA Trainee. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure and experience across all areas of Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine cleaning inspections and monthly GMP and facility audits according to the established schedule.
  • Monitor and verify Operational Prerequisite Programmes (OPRPs) and Critical Control Point (CCP) check sheets.
  • Maintain document control by uploading reviewed procedures, work instructions, and check sheets onto the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Request, collect, and track updated food safety and quality documentation from suppliers in accordance with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) procedures.
  • Conduct labelling audits in line with Policy 16 requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Identify, investigate, and report non-conformances, and raise SAP notifications where required.
  • Participate in daily operations meetings and provide updates on non-conformances, corrective actions, and customer complaints.
  • Manage the upkeep of cleaning equipment and monitor buffer stock levels of cleaning supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support quality and food safety objectives.
  • Conduct food safety training sessions and employee inductions in line with the approved training plan and schedule.

Requirements

  • National Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the Quality Assurance environment.
