Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering a clear business credit application? Are you analytical, process-oriented, and able to evaluate information from multiple perspectives?

We are seeking a Business Credit Analyst to join our Business Banking team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to assess credit opportunities, support sound lending decisions, and help deliver outstanding services to our business members.

Working closely with the Business Relationship Managers, this position helps grow the size and profitability of the commercial lending book while minimizing loan risk and maximizing product penetration. The position also delivers exceptional member experience by providing timely, accurate, concise, and quality credit analysis and underwriting within sound risk management framework.

This role is hybrid remote, with occasional in-office attendance based on business needs.

What you do:

  • Working closely with Business Relationship Managers to identify and gather all required information to prepare applications for credit.
  • Complete due diligence and investigation on the information.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and project information.
  • Assess value of collateral.
  • Prepare credit applications, including annual reviews, and make recommendations for new loans, loan renewals and amendments within credit union guidelines and lending policy and procedures.
  • Provide creative and flexible solutions in structuring credit with appropriate supporting commentary
  • Submit recommendations to the appropriate approval level.

What you bring:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people both internally and externally.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to anticipate, identify, analyze, and mitigate risks
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including cash flow analysis
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of business lending policies, complex procedures, techniques, documentation requirements
  • Basic knowledge of loan realization
  • Excellent knowledge and comfort level with various computer software programs, i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel, banking systems, CRM
  • Knowledge of security documents related to commercial loans and business lines of credit.
  • 3-5 years previous knowledge and experience in business banking, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience or;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a business banking position with relevant experience in real estate development & project financing.

Compensation

  • Prospera offers a total compensation package of base salary plus incentives that are market competitive and reviewed annually.
  • The salary for this role is $64,000.00 to $80,000.00. The final offer will be based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
